Robert E. Tooms, M.D.

Dr. Robert Tooms received his medical degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, TN and completed his residency at Campbell Clinic. He completed a fellowship in orthopaedic pathology and research, as well as a fellowship in rehabilitation. Dr. Tooms was a physician with Campbell Clinic for more than 35 years, before his retirement in 2000, and served as Chief of Staff from 1987 – 1994.

Dr. Tooms is a Professor Emeritus of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Tennessee-Campbell Clinic Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and remains active in the profession as a medical advisor to several orthopaedic companies.
