Our Programs

The Campbell Foundation’s mission is to enhance the quality of life for our patients today and for generations to come by focusing its support on three major programs — surgeon education, orthopaedic research, and community healthcare.

Surgeon Education

The Campbell Foundation's commitment to educate the world's best orthopaedic surgeons is a longstanding tradition. Our residency and fellowship programs have trained over 450 physicians practicing in the United States, Canada, South America, and Europe. More»

Orthopaedic Research

Musculoskeletal disorders take a serious toll on individuals, families, and the world economy. The Campbell Foundation supports basic science research as well as clinical research to search for solutions to restore quality of life to our patients and to our community. More»

Community Healthcare

Charity care has always been a part of The Campbell Foundation’s mission. Dr. Campbell set a precedent when he and his colleagues played a leading role in starting the Crippled Children’s Hospital in 1919 in Memphis, followed in 1923 by the Crippled Adults Hospital. More»

Publications

Campbell's Operative Orthopaedics is a four-volume textbook that has been called “the definitive orthopaedic surgery reference” and “the bible of orthopaedic surgery” for surgeons all over the world. The Campbell Foundation newsletter, Momentum, gives friends and supporters insight into The Campbell Foundation's work to advance musculoskeletal education and research. More»
